This picture of our daughter Julia was taken in Trins (Tirol) in July 2009
five weeks after her 11th birthday.
This picture is from late May 2008, two weeks
before Julia's 10th birthday. It was taken in the Enns valley close
to Admont monastery.
This picture of my wife Sanni (Susanne) was also taken in May 2008.
In the night from August 10 to 11, 2007, I climbed Mt. Fuji. Friendly
Japanese took this picture of mine on top. Behind you can see the
shadow of Mt. Fuji that the morning sun casts on the haze below.
In the train and at the airport on last day of the trip, I prepared
a small page on my Japanese travelling experiences
(with a few pictures).
This picture of Julia was taken a few days before her 9th birthday
at a mountain lake north of Graz.
A week later: Julia and my wife Sanni at a mountain hut close to Eisenerz.

Here is the promised "less formal" picture of mine. It is not very recent and was taken certainly before July 1994 (perhaps spring 93 ?) during a hike in the mountains north of Milano.
I like it because it is so ... philosophical.
This picture of Sanni was taken in late 1998 in a restaurant near Osnago,
the town north of Milano where we lived until September 1999.
