Information for speakers
All lecture rooms are equipped with a data projector, an overhead projector, and a blackboard. In room E3.2, however, the blackboard is tiny.
It goes without saying that we ask you to strictly adhere to the schedule; the ten minutes break between talks are meant as time for discussion and for changing from one session to another. It is imperative that talks begin exactly as scheduled, otherwise the participants no longer have the opportunity to change between sessions.
Computer presentations
If you intend to present your talk on a computer, you have two options:
- We provide a notebook in every lecture room. The notebooks are equipped with software for displaying PDF files, but not with Powerpoint. Please bring your PDF file on a USB device early in the coffee break before your talk, so we can transfer the presentation to the notebook. Assistance is provided. Note that not all of our notebooks are equipped with a CD-ROM device.
- You can use your own notebook, in particular if you need other file formats than PDF. Please note that in that case we may not be able to assist you in connecting your notebook to the data projector, as there are many device drivers and we may not know how your particular notebook has to be configured. It is probably a good idea to test early if the involved devices work together.
