Spectral Theory and Differential Operators
September 15 - 19, 2025 | TU Graz, Austria
Welcome !
The purpose of this conference is to bring together people working on the spectral theory of linear operators and differential operators.
The list of possible fields of research includes the following topics:
- Spectral theory of linear operators
- Analysis of self-adjoint and non-self-adjoint operators
- ODEs and Sturm-Liouville theory
- PDEs including Schrödinger, divergence-type, and Dirac operators
- Differential operators on metric graphs
- Point and other types of singular interactions
- Scattering theory
We also welcome researchers working in neighbouring areas: operators in Krein spaces, waveguides, difference operators on discrete graphs, random operators, etc.
During the conference, there will be a special session at the occasion of the 50th birthday of Jussi Behrndt.
Plenary speakers:
- Anne-Sophie Bonnet-BenDhia (ENSTA ParisTech, France)
- Pavel Exner (Nuclear Physics Institute, Academy of Sciences, Rez near Prague, Czech Republic)
- Fritz Gesztesy (Baylor University, Waco, USA)
- Marjeta Kramar Fijavz (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia)
- David Krejcirik (Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic)
- Pavel Kurasov (Stockholm University, Sweden)
- Marco Marletta (Cardiff University, UK)
- Marius Mitrea (Baylor University, Waco, USA)
- Christiane Tretter (University of Bern, Switzerland)
- Luis Vega (BCAM, Bilbao, Spain) (to be confirmed)
With best regards, the Organizing Committee,
Markus Holzmann (TU Graz)
