Mihyun Kang is Professor of Discrete Mathematics and Optimisation at the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) and leads the Combinatorics Group. She received a Heisenberg Fellowship of the German Research Foundation and a Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her main research areas are combinatorics, discrete probability, and algorithms, especially the theory of random graphs. She serves on the editorial board of several journals, including Combinatorial Theory and Random Structures & Algorithms.
