Venue of the Symposium
The Symposium Discrete Mathematics 2018 will take place at the Mathematics Building (Steyrergasse 30, A-8010 Graz) on the Campus Neue Technik of TU Graz. All the lectures will be held at the lecture room BE01, located on the ground floor of the Mathematics Building.
Directions to the Mathematics Building
The most convenient way to reach Graz is to fly to the Graz International Airport (GRZ) or to take a train to the Graz main railway station (Graz Hbf).
From the Graz International Airport (GRZ) to Graz Hbf or the Graz City Center
There are trains (S-Bahn: S5) from the Graz airport (Train stop: Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen Bahnhof) to the Graz main railway station (Train stop: Graz Hbf). There are less frequent buses (Bus 630, 631) from the airport to the city centre (Bus stop: Graz Jakominiplatz). From Jakominiplatz you may walk about 10 minutes to the Mathematics Building or take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop.
From the Graz Main Railway Station (Graz Hbf) to the Mathematics Building
From the Graz main railway station (Tram stop: Graz Hbf) you may take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop. Alternatively, you may take the tram no. 1, 3, or 7 to Jakominiplatz. From Jakominiplatz you may walk about 10 minutes or take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop and walk about 2 minutes to the Mathematics Building.
A 1-hour ticket (approx. 2.20 EUR) and a 24-hour ticket (approx. 5 EUR) are valid for all public transport services within the Graz central tariff zone 101 (including the Graz airport). For time tables and ticket prices, please visit the Styrian Public Transport Association website.
From the Vienna International Airport (VIE) to Graz
There are direct flight connections from the Vienna international airport to the Graz internaltional airport. If you prefer public ground transportation options you may take a "RailJet" train from the Vienna airport train station to the Graz main railway station (RJ XXX).
