On Wednesday afternoon, we shall undertake an excursion to the Southern Styrian wine hills, a really beautiful region. Here is a small picture gallery of those landscapests.
Those who want (the great majority, we hope) can join in an easy hike of about 1 1/2 hours. The hike will terminate at a "Buschenschank" (a winery with the right to serve cold food, same concept as Vienna's "Heurigen") where we shall have cold buffet + drinks including wine. This will also be a birthday party. Those who don't hike can go with the bus directly to the "Buschenschank" and anticipate the wine drinking. Since there is no conference fee (because of the very complicated EU funding regulations), we shall have to collect a contribution for the excursion that we try to keep as low as possible.
